Welcome to the SPCA 5k 10^th Annual Doggie Dash!  We are so excited to have you!

Due to the abundance of safety cautions that society is taking due to COVID 19, we had to make our 5k completely Virtual.  We unfortunately will not be meeting at the Spring Valley Park as originally planned and deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are very disappointed about not being able to meet you all in person, however, we are looking forward to the challenge this pandemic is bringing and still plan on making this a fun and enjoyable race for you!

With us going 100% Virtual, we need all participants to log into their profile and switch from the “Park” to “Virtual”. If you are having problems switching, please send us an email and we will get you switched over. This will allow us to send reminder text messages throughout the race to submit your time results (for those who wish to track their time) with the link attached.

Placement medals will be assigned for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place winners once all timed results have been submitted. Winners will be contacted to set up a day/time to come out to receive your medal and get a picture taken.

SPCA 6955 W KL Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 starting Monday, September 14, 2020 – Friday, September 18, 2020 from 1pm – 7pm.

The most important announcement is to please visit our SPCA Facebook Page (facebook.com/spcaswmich) on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 9:50am to be greeted “Live” by our Director and Volunteer Coordinator, receive quick instructions, cheer you on and start your race off with a BANG!  You will be able to freely interact with them via Live FB!  Invite your friends and family to come on as well to partake in cheering you on and enjoy the fun!

Race begins at 10 am! This is a self-timed event. Be sure to check out back closer to the race to find out more about other activities taking place!

For Virtual Racers: This is open to anyone, anywhere in the world. You must start your run/walk at the scheduled time for the race which is 10:00am EST. Even though this is not a timed race, you are welcome to submit your time onto the app under “RESULTS”.

Packet Pick Ups are scheduled for the week of the event from Wednesday, September 16, 2020 – Friday, September 18, 2020 from 1:00pm – 7:00pm.

Kids under 12 are free! Shirt not included. Extra t-shirts are available for purchase. Large group registration discounts available starting at 6 people or more.

Strollers welcome.

Dog(s) not required to participate in the race. All dogs must be well behaved and leashed. Please review all requirements to bring your dog to the event.

All registrations fees are final. In the case of severe weather, the race may be delayed up to 1 hour for the weather to clear. If hazardous conditions continue, the race reserves the right to cancel without reschedule or refund.

Dog requirements:

All dogs must be at least 4 months of age and kept on a non-retractable, 6ft or shorter leash at all times. Dogs must be current with all vaccinations. Owner must keep their dogs under control and clean up after their animals. Bags will be provided. In the instance where the dog(s) require medical attention at or after the event for any reason, the owner is responsible for transportation, medication, treatment and hospitalization. The pet owners assume all risk and responsibility for any damages to person, property or other animals caused by their dog(s).
